Webpages come in many flavors, but most of the flavors that I see on the web involve one of two things: either it can be happy and optimistic or serious and morbid. These are the two types of pages that I find to be the most prevalent (Oh yeah, and those that hope to be funny, but more on that later). So, looking at the color scheme for this page you may believe that it is a serious page with serious issues. Now, if I had used a white background and pink text, then you could pretty much assume that the page is very flowery, bubbly, and effervescent. In either case, you are succumbing to classic textbook stereotyping. Well, here's a page that's a combination of both, optimism and pessimism, and of course, sex...er, I mean, humor...
Anyway, I was born in the United States, in a little known state named Virginia. Tracking my progress throughout the years, I'm surprised I'm still alive to create this webpage today. My life has been one classic blunder after the other.
Some people think creating a personal webpage is arrogance personified. Why create a webpage unless you're completely vain and want people to come to your website? What those people don't understand is the creative element behind a webpage, and the basic nature of humans to want to make contact with their fellows, to communicate with one another. I would be kidding myself if I didn't say that one receives a certain pride from creating a webpage, but then again, a creator is usually proud of their creation anyway. This webpage has seen about 318947 incarnations, as I've always scrapped the ones before after staring at it for all of thirty seconds. Now I've got to finish this webpage, and I'll be damned if it sucks. A whole lunch is riding upon this piece of artistic genius.
I go to school at Pomona College in Claremont, CA. In sunny Southern California this place lies, in the hometown of none other than "Big Mac" Mark McGwire. This small liberal arts college is the gem in the desert. Now for all those people who say, "Where the hell is Pomona?" I would reply with, "It's a small school in SoCal," or I could say, "You live a sheltered life on an Amish farm, don't you? Where's Pomona? Pffft, that's like asking where Earth's second moon is, and you're not telling me you don't know where that is."
I think people see in many different lights. Some people see me as arrogant, a person who believes that he is always right, and nothing that he can do can go wrong. Others see my in the exact opposite light, too unassuming, always allowing others to lay blame upon me. Well, some perceptions ring true, but most do not. I try and speak my mind, definitely, but there's still a lot that I'm not saying that I'm thinking.

Musical Selection:
Speaking of my musical tastes, I guess you can call them quite diverse. I enjoy many types of music ranging from old fashioned rock and roll to alternative to pop and electronica. My favorite bands/artists include (but are not limited to): Counting Crows, Nine Inch Nails, Sarah McLachlan, Phil Collins, John Williams, and Stone Temple Pilots.
American Cars*:
I'm here to debunk the myth of the American car. Sure, once upon a time the American car deserved the bad rep that they had. Their cars were less fuel efficient, more expensive, more dangerous, and all-in-all not a very economical car at all. These days, twenty-odd years later, the American car still has the same bad reputation and stereotype from the 1970's. The American car has improved leaps and bounds, and competes regularly with Japanese and German imports. Nowadays, the American car has become as fuel efficient, safe, and even more inexpensive than their import brethren. So now we don't have to buy American just because it was built in America. We can buy American because it's wise and economical to do so.
*The author of this article may be a little biased, as he has driven an American car for most of his driving experience. He has driven German and Japanese cars as well.
